My back needs a more upright sitting position. Luckily I ride for fitness reasons so drag isn't an issue. I have a flat bike. Also, you can either add a shim to increase the height of the handlebar (you may need longer cables) or add bar ends. These bars attach perfectly to 7/8" bars. Thought I might need a drop of Locktite but no slippage issues so far. The end bar tube itself is 1" in diameter. The additional one-piece 3/4" foam insulation by Lowe helps eliminate road vibration.The only downside is that my brakes stay down on regular handlebars because they have a 7/8 clamp.This adds a slight lag to break off the end bars and the breaks too As a precaution, I recommend using end rudders at all crossings. The good news is you can change your riding position while still maintaining solid control. No longer need to steer with your fingertips. A good product.
