I had this monocular not long ago but it turned out to be excellent value for money! It's a bit bigger than I first imagined, but that wasn't a problem and it's pretty easy to carry around. It's also fairly easy to learn to find and focus on a target, and it produces a really sharp image. I plan to use it at the shooting range, but for now I've only used it for stargazing. The tripod is pretty flimsy, but you can use any standard tripod if you want something stronger. Haven't used the camera with it yet, but it works well, as evidenced by the backyard bird test photo included with this review. Forcing the camera to stay in place was a trick for the shot, as the retaining screw on the camera mount is a bit flimsy for a larger camera (it would probably be better if you upgraded your tripod). If you don't want your photo to have a circular image, you can zoom in a bit on your phone and it will give you a regular image. My wife took him on a hike with her friends and she said he did a very good job of working the river and watching the wild horses. All in all, this monocular is worth the money and I look forward to new uses for it.
