Ordered a new dehumidifier. The one I received arrived in a box that had previously been opened and strapped. Stands (wheels) which should have been included in the kit to make the device wheelable were not included in the kit. In addition, the adapter that allows use as a continuous drain model was also not included. I clearly received a used unit without all the extra parts. He can't even get up. I'm trying to figure out what to do to return it but I had to cut the straps to open the box. I don't even have a box to ship it to. This is an addendum written three weeks later. I immediately called Black, Decker and Revane with my concerns and both were extremely receptive and responsive. Revain arranged for a replacement machine of the same model and removal of the old machine within a week (actually three days) of my contacting them. Of course I still had to deal with the lack of a box, but luckily with enough tape I was able to replicate a box large enough to install a UPS. Luckily the styrofoam inserts on both sides stayed intact. The new block came with all the details. Quick and easy to assemble, works right out of the box except for the . We use our dehumidifier continuously via a drain line to a shower stall in the basement. Black and Decker has the foresight to offer a plastic hose that instantly attaches to the unit to make this task easier. But the hose is coiled with half a dozen kinks that won't relax. I gave up after two days of loosening the hose - even putting a pole through it overnight. Finally, I just hooked up the garden hose. Now we have success and a dry basement. Black and Decker has the perfect tubing system, but the tubing packaging compromises it badly. I was considering changing my rating to three stars because customer reviews like Black and Deck and Revain should be rewarded. Personally, such service wouldn't stop me from doing business with them again and everyone makes mistakes from time to time. But I'll leave it at one star because if there's a customer who absolutely needs a product to work right the first time, my experience can be a good comparison.
