I didn't pump at all

Installed this pump on a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. He never pumped a drop of gasoline. I brought it back which was easier as it never primed which I was able to drain before shipping and ordered a Carter brand pump from another seller (half the price) which is now installed and working great. It's possible that the non-working version I received is a one-off as this is the first time I've had a problem with a Delphi product.
