Fingerless mittens with thumb openings are hard to find. Win! And I really wanted grey. I was very excited when my husband stumbled across them. They're *so* soft and because they're fleece they keep my hands really warm! We live in New York (not in the city. There are farms all around us) and it's pretty cold here. I was overwhelmed by the warmth. They are not suitable for skiing/sledding/snowman riding, but they are perfect for everyday wear. They're a bit big, but I only put them on when I needed to stretch my fingers, so it's no big deal. The ONLY thing I didn't like about them was the dots on the palms. My mittens tripped over the steering wheel, which I really didn't like. Also, I do some things with my hands so those bulges went away almost immediately. They rubbed horribly on my right hand (my dominant hand) and rubbed off on my left after just a month of wear. I hate these lumps in everything and avoid them. If I had noticed them in the photo, I would not have ordered these mittens at all. However, I actually lost this pair at a Christmas party and am considering ordering again. I might try just shaving the protrusions clean because I can't find anything, even close by. Without those bulges, these mittens would be perfect for me.
