Review on πŸ“ Huepar Three Plane Self-Leveling Alignment Tool by Patrick Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It took me several days to verify all the information.

I am a private AV and network installer. I always thought it would be useful someday to get a laser level for leveling ceiling speakers, wifi hotspots, etc. Using it to level wall plates and TVs is probably overkill, but it can come in handy here too. This unit's beam layout works best for me because I mainly use it for lines on the ceiling, not planes and squares around walls or tile floors (although it works there too). After looking at Hilti, Bosch, Dewalt, Klein, etc. I just couldn't justify the cost of a green laser ranging from $400 to over $1,000. Functionally, I get what I want with this Huepar B03CG: 3 green laser levels that can be turned on individually or in any combination, and a solid, attractive build quality to impress my customers. I couldn't justify the price for a remote control or some of the other features for my specific needs. After choosing Huepar, it was not easy to identify the best model. This model appears to be the latest and greatest in this style, with the exception of rotary models. It has a 6 hour battery, a USB-C port (which I can use with my external battery) and a hard shell. The DT03G, GF360G, 603CG, 903CG, and 503CG either had shorter battery life, no useful USB-C port, or no hard case. A few features I turned down are "tilt functions" on the DT03CG, Bluetooth on the 603CG-BT, and AA battery power (USB-C seems like the best compromise). I preferred the sharper green lines to the longer battery life of the red lines. The 503DG came second, but the laser is in a different spot. Hope this helps someone else.

Pros

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
