Seat Leon FR 220hp. 225х45 R17 It's been almost 4 months, We went to the Urals and the Black Sea on rubber (I already wrote about the Urals, I'll write about the sea again). Already passed 7-8 thousand. What can I say: 1. Rubber is insanely noisy! At least put some earplugs in. Noise starts already from 40-60 km/h. Of course, it strongly depends on the coverage, but in our country it is the vast majority of roads. True, there is a nuance: the noise practically does not increase with increasing speed. At speeds above 150, the noise from the wind is noticeably greater than from the tires. Of course, after rolling, the noise decreased, but still they are many times noisier than Nexen, and much noisier than winter Velcro. I can honestly say that this indicator is not particularly critical for me. 2. The grip is just great, no matter what the speed. On Neksen, after 160, you have to hold on tight to the steering wheel, catch a car somewhere, taxi a little, but here it’s just a buzz! 180-200 km/h feels like 60! This is very cool. Neither the track nor the bumps can reduce the hook. I didn’t notice any hydroplaning either, but I haven’t driven through deep puddles yet. 3. Consumption as in winter, reeling is not very good. Due to the fact that the tire is softer, and the composition of the rubber according to any other, the fuel consumption on this rubber has become slightly higher than on the Nexen. True, and the speed of movement has increased significantly. 4. Very light. I didn’t weigh it, but it’s lighter than winter ones and lighter than Nexen. 5. Small holes and bumps pass more comfortably than Nexen. Pope clearly feels it. This is also a consequence of the softer sidewall and rubber itself. It feels even more comfortable than on winter Velcro in positive temperatures, when it becomes soft. Because of this feature, we started to drive faster on our not very good roads. Suspension is not so sorry, rubber absorbs all the little things. 6. Books at the start has not gone away. I seem to have to come to terms with this. Front wheel drive, that says it all.
