These are good quality steel skewers that will probably last a long time. They are compactly stowed in the bin and for me the plus is that they don't take up as much space as with wooden handles. I bought them when they were $15 and now the price is much lower. But even then it's worth it. The only downside to this is that they get hot on the grill, so it's best to use a gripper or something similar to turn the skewers on the grill. I've used them over 5 times and so far no stains or rust have appeared.
