It's well made and retains heat fairly well. I have two problems with this mug: 1. it's too tall and 2. it's not wide enough to roll well with a brush. I've tried both my super badger hair brush and my best badger hair brush and neither can get the sweep needed to get the lather I got with the old china bowl I was trying to replace. My problem with the height is that my brush's handle hits the sides and the rattling comes to me after a while. The Parker has a similar bowl, but it's wider and stockier. I wish I had gone cheap and only got one.
