Not Rependable - Measurement and Planning Tools

Let me start by saying that I plan houses to live in. I've used pretty much every type of chalk box out there and am still looking for one that will stand up to the use I've put it in. The biggest problem I've found with all of these is that chalk gets caught between the reel and the body causing it to stick which transfers torque to the handle. Since most handles are made of plastic or steel bonded to plastic, they will break over time (so what's the point of a steel handle?). I was very impressed (with some reservations about the plastic parts) when I started using it because it's free. works with almost no problems. It seems that this design has overcome this problem. But after 3 weeks of use, serious problems began (21 houses). The gears started sticking to me. This was something that had previously happened to another brand with a similar gear design. Both use so-called planetary gears, several gears in a circle. At first they move very easily, but as the connection between the body and the plastic spool wears out, it starts to wobble slightly, causing the winding pressure to act unevenly on one due to the connection with the handle or other gear. This makes the box practically unusable. 2 or even 3 times more expensive than other brands, I should have gotten a lot more. The design is there, but the quality isn't. It features a metal body, but what's the use? Another annoying thing is that the end of the rewind lever snaps in and out and I almost lost it. I ended up returning it to the seller who didn't even want to replace it because they knew someone else would do the same. He said the representative only gives them a week to return. Because he conscientiously allowed people to return them, he lost $500 and would not buy them again. Bad support!
