I used to love this sound machine, however, when I purchased the latest version, I was very disappointed. It has great new additional sounds and I loved that, however, it took soooo much of my rechargeable batteries charge life that it did not last long. I had to keep on recharging my batteries for about 3 to 4 times within 24 hours of it being on continuously. In the prior version, I only had to recharge the batteries once every 2 1/2 days. They added some type of upgrade where it will cut off if it feels that the batteries are on a low charge. As a result, the rechargeable batteries I had never lasted long on the newer version, and sometimes it would cut off right away on new recharges of my batteries.Further, It is not capable of charging on a normal USB cable that is attached to an outlet, so I couldn't even recharge it that way after wasting money on a dual USB cable, nor was there a charging indicator to view if it is charging when the USB cable is being used.
