This is a high quality and beautifully made turntable. Turntables are nostalgic, but it doesn't have to be the old ones we remember that sound as good without the modern technology and features we expect. They can be beautiful, stylish and use modern technology. This turntable is the perfect blend of old and new. Visually, this is a great device. I chose mahogany and the structure of the wood is striking but I doubt there are any wrong choices. The wood is solid and the construction of the entire device is of high quality. The stylus is well constructed and the balance of the lever keeps the stylus in place for quality playback. In fact, I've seen turntables with the same quality parts sell for over twice as much before any sound samples or features. Legacy technology upgrades include Bluetooth and a preamp. This player does not have built-in speakers, so you need to connect it to a receiver and speakers. It also has a preamp function with line or phono output options. The connection was very easy and didn't take long. The entire setup took about 15 minutes out of the box. The audio output was rich and textured as you would expect from vinyl.
