I firmly believe LED bulbs save money. I've replaced all the lightbulbs in my house every month for almost 8 years and saved money with electric bandits. I think the only light bulb in my house that doesn't have an LED is for the microwave, but I don't know what type it uses. Buying LEDs may cost more money, but they are worth it in the long run. Watch the sales and start buying them. Two of the approximately 30 LED lamps have failed in the last 8 years. My whirlpool fridge has 3 bulbs, I don't know how long a bulb burned out top and bottom. These "daylight" bulbs are so much brighter than standard 40 watt bulbs that I compared them. If you decide to raid the fridge in the middle of the night, be prepared to wake up right away, no kidding, they are so bright! At first I thought of maybe going for "Warm White" next time. I recommend these lamps, LEDs are not a problem. You have to decide whether daylight or warm white is right for you.
