Review on Silver Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25mm F1.8 Lens for Micro Four Thirds Cameras by Vinay Sornsri ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

My camera is the simplest - Olympus E-PM1. So far, 25/1.8 and previously purchased 45/1.8 allow you to solve all problems indoors, and not only. Both manufactured by Olympus. Filmed the birthday of the child of relatives in the apartment. In principle, one 25 / 1.8 would be enough. Situational subjects and group portraits work well. But, nevertheless, 45 / 1.8 is better suited for "waist" and closer portraits. The result is more interesting. Although 45 / 1.8 is quite decent. While the whale lens is in the bag. Maybe I'll "dress" sometime in nature. With good light and the need for a wide angle for the landscape. Based on personal experience, I would advise you to buy the first 25 / 1.8 from Olympus. And 45 / 1.8 second. But he is also needed. The quality of the portraits he made always shocks people who see them for the first time. Especially portraits of children "mommies".

Pros
  • The focal length turned out to be really universal. No flash required indoors during the day. Blend included. The most compact in comparison with competitors. "Drawing" is pleasant, and not only to me.
Cons
  • The hood is still needed. Filmed at Christmas in the snowy "Bethlehem cave". I received side illumination from the entrance to the cave, since I did not wear a hood.
