I bought this product mainly as a golf gps watch. I don't use the activity tracking features so I can't comment on them. I moved from a Bushnell laser unit that failed after about 2 years. This low product quality led to the decision to look for an inexpensive GPS device. I looked at both entry-level and more expensive products and chose this product because it has the key features I wanted. My experience has been very positive: - the device is easy to use after a basic review of the user documentation - my experience has been very good for getting satellite locks quickly (have used this in several courses). - Battery life was excellent. I can fire 3 shots on a single charge. I'm happy with the accuracy, I haven't had any undershoot or rollover issues due to the range the device offers. - Obviously the screen size limits the amount of data displayed. In my view, there are tradeoffs with any type of rangefinder you use. With this Garmin device, I quickly get the information I need and don't have to worry about losing the device, dropping it, or draining the battery. The device is light, I don't notice it or it doesn't distract me. during play or off the pitch. A caveat to this question because I wear a Fitbit for regular activity tracking.
