Finally someone made a good SILVER toothpaste! This is to kill bacteria and your toothbrush WILL REMOVE them! LOVE IT! After that, I quickly use my remineralizing paste without rinsing. The taste is VERY mild and the paste itself is an amber colored gel. Spreading it along the gum line and then rubbing it with the dental tape will probably work very well as this will get it into the crevices and under the gum line. Sweetened with xylitol, which also kills bacteria. Xylitol also makes you salivate. It naturally adds enzymes from your saliva that help with natural cleaning. I love this pasta and I think it would be good for kids too as the flavor is quite mild. If you're looking for a "foamy" pasta, this isn't it! You want something with SLS because that's what creates all the foam. This is also the cause of oral discharge, so it is NOT present in this paste/gel.
