Review on πŸš— Enhance Vehicle Control with the Steering Stabilizer: An Essential Tool for Smooth Handling by Robert Cooper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Although for the price.

It wasn't a very fun job and the U-bolts didn't fit on the tie rods resulting in some of the threads going flat because the fit was too tight. The instructions that came with the stabilizer were not very good. The whole thing took an hour and a half. Can't comment on functionality yet as I haven't even taken a test ride yet, but I did make sure the wheels turn all the way left and all the way right. The instructions that came with the stabilizer bar said the bolts should be checked regularly for tightness, but I've only filled them with blue Loctite and will only check this when I lube the other front components. I'll report back when I've got a few miles on it. Below is the plastic box I was talking about. I would recommend everyone to remove this before installing the stabilizer bar. EDIT: just got back from the hard drive. The cushioning is good, it's just enough and it's always there when you need it. I drove through everything: reflectors between lanes, potholes, and even the little howl you get on a highway with no outer wall. I bought these for a reason to cure "running" mud tires at low speeds. If anyone has ever had mud tires you know how they tend to rock or vibrate, but I call it "walking". It seems to be cured, which I'm very happy about. No vibrations at low speeds. Overall I am satisfied and will buy this set again and again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
