From all the comments and packaging I was convinced you could wire this directly to the battery, YOU CAN'T! It charges your battery, it is NOT a companion battery! . There is nothing in it that can limit the amount of current in your battery, which is very bad. It must be related to the charge controller which they are up to and say you can connect it directly to your battery.
