First use was with water when cleaning so I could get an idea of the spray. It sprays a fine horizontal thin spray line. After cleaning I filled it with canola oil which was too thick. This created a spray jet. I drained the canola and filled it with olive oil. Olive oil is thinner so the spray is closer to the water. I wish the spray was a little thinner and could hold thicker oils, but overall I'm happy with it. The build feels good and the atomizer lever is not flimsy. It was really easy to use.
