Using non-genuine ink or toner with any modern printer is less nonsense than a guarantee it won't work despite complaints, but this one is really very high quality and fully compatible. With over 50% remaining in my Dell color cartridges I took them out, taped them for later and marked the levels on them so I could replace the black cartridges if needed and quickly try all 4 cartridges during the return period. Previously, I ran a color test page, printed a system diagnostic to record how many black and white and color pages were printed, and changed the cartridges. First of all, the color cartridges were BETTER than my original Dell cartridges, some of which had more than half their lifespan left. There's no noticeable difference in saturation, tone, opacity, and so far I've made a good amount of black and color prints without the level bar dropping on the printer screen. The Dell software on my computer reported 6% black consumption and 2% for each color, last checked a while ago. Fingers crossed for now but I'm really glad I found such a CHEAP BUDGET quality replacement that it still works - the holiday return period got me covered for another 2 months - and hope I don't just have one random goodie determine when/whether I will order from this brand again.
