Review on 💻 Enhanced Identiv SCR3310v2.0 USB Smart Card Reader by Sarah Pullen

This smart card reader was packaged in bubble wrap with part number stickers, some bar codes, an ESD warning, and a sticker directing me to a website. There was no box, labeled envelope, documentation, or anything else that led me to believe this reader was packaged by the original manufacturer. Since USB devices should automatically load drivers/software, I take great care when connecting this device to my computer. I also bought this reader to use my work smart card, a secure login device, on my home computer. As far as I know, this device was compromised by the vendor to steal credentials and/or distribute malware. This device was recommended by Revain for reading smart cards, but I don't see how I can use it with confidence.
