I have 2 band saws of 2 different brands and sizes. My 14" model has ceramic guides and my heavy duty 17" saw has bearings. All with factory blades. I had slippage issues with both right out of the box, even after careful tuning to the factory instructions. Talked to people at tool shops nearby, watched youtube videos, tried a lot but couldn't solve the problem. I ended up just putting on new Timber Wolf blades and following the factory setup instructions. Both saws now cut perfectly and can be set up in just a few minutes. I never put factory blades in it. I've since bought a few more blades each for different needs and keep changing them as needed. I'm a real Timber Wolf fan. The blades are excellent. I've cut mostly white and red oak, hard maple, cherry, walnut, sycamore and occasionally bubinga. These blades are great for everyone and I will be using Timber Wolf as long as they last.
