Basically it serves its purpose.

Not broken yet but looks cheap. The part that pulls the "trigger" doesn't pull it all the way to open the tailgate. I found I had to give an extra push up to open it. I just don't use it excessively for fear of breaking it. Normally I would go to a landfill, but there isn't one close by that I could go to. Keep your old locking system, your key is designed for it. I lost mine years ago so I knew that was the problem. In general, it opens and there is no longer a huge hole where the old one was taken out.
