I never write reviews but thought I'd give my 2 cents here. I put together a lot of material so it might not be the same for everyone, but I put it together in under 10 minutes (I remember thinking I'd heard 2.5 songs in that time). I didn't need much guidance either. After everything was tightened, the knot seemed quite tight. Of course it will sag a little when you put weight on it due to the light frame, but for its intended purpose (holding the shoe) it's more than enough. Very happy. At the time of purchase, it cost $27.
