I usually don't write reviews because I'm lazy, but when a product works well I feel compelled to give it credit. I bought this case primarily to protect it from accidental splashes when using the iPad at the pool or spa. It was never my intention to submerge the device in water. However, a few days ago when I placed my top loading bag on the concrete in front of the spa, the bag tipped over and my iPad slid right into the spa. After a moment of panic I jumped in and fished it out. He was underwater for 4 to 5 seconds. I was angry because I lost my iPhone in the water a few years ago. Luckily, the iPad lock screen appeared immediately and Face Recognition unlocked the iPad. While there were droplets on the case itself, the iPad continued to work. I fiddled with it for a while, worried that maybe a few drops had gotten inside and was horrified that it was only a matter of time before it stopped working. A few days later it's still working so I can honestly say this case saved my iPad. The case is light and fairly thin, and the gaskets feel tight. However, as another reviewer mentioned, removing the case is very difficult, so switching between cases is quite a hassle. Changing it again will most likely loosen the seals and render the case unusable. If it weren't for this, I would give the product 5 stars. Given its real-world performance, I think it's definitely a worthwhile purchase.
