Hopefully it will hold up outside. In fact, it is a thick chenille fabric. Looks cool but I'm worried about how it will hold up in the rain or snow. Just take a look. I've read some reviews about the product getting tangled, but if you cut the straps and slowly and carefully pull out the top hook, it will disengage just fine. We didn't have any concealment issues, but left it fully extended until we were ready to install it. I'll update my review once we see how it fares with the weather.
