We love this light. I complained about the lack of light in the kitchen due to the track lighting we installed. That helped. We have a 10-armed lamp. The wires are 7 feet long and definitely require some electrical engineering knowledge. In the end we made a pigtail for the wiring because we thought we would get a better connection that way. A lot of wires just fit in one cap. We simply screwed the ground wire into a screw on the metal plate that came with the light. We also didn't bother with the appearance of pinched wires, and we felt this made the entire unit look dirty. We decided to cut about 4 feet of wire and attach it to the ceiling leaving only about 6 inches for the lighting. We have pedestal height ceilings (8ft) and this worked great. Also, there are videos of similar products on the Internet, since the instructions that come with them are not very detailed.
