They would be perfect if there weren't a few flaws. The patterns are beautiful and in the end they become cute decorations. However, if you are new to cross stitch, I think this pack will disappoint you. Here are my issues with the whole set: 1. The canvas is one big piece so you need to measure each piece and make sure you cut out a piece big enough for your design. But that also means you probably don't have the right hoop size for the pattern you're working on. It would be better if the instructions had a layout of all the ornaments on the canvas.2. Likewise, there is a large piece of red felt that you should cut out to use as the back of your decoration when you're done. It doesn't include hoops or anything to complete the decoration and I haven't figured out how to do it yet.4. Each color of thread comes in a large ball that you will need to cut yourself and match it to the correct symbol on the pattern as it is not marked. So there is still a lot of preparatory work ahead. In general, you get a lot for the money, but you also have to make a lot of effort. And I'm not even sure if you get 30 pieces of jewelry from the amount of material that comes in the pack. If you are looking for a ready made kit I would say this is not for you.
