Review on 🐠 AQUANEAT Aquarium Circulation Pump - Small 480 GPH, Fish Tank Powerhead, Saltwater Wave Maker, Submersible Water Pump, Suction Cup (2pcs) by Andrea Stapley

Great for Biocube 14 with a little modification.

Many reviews mention that the flow is too high for a smaller tank, but there are very few other options for lower GPH nozzles. I decided to give it a try just in case to customize the jet to my needs. I'm glad I did. The pump housing separates by briefly turning the two halves clockwise. After opening it I removed the impeller which was plastic. I took my big toenail clippers, ran them all the way down (about halfway down the blade) and secured them! I did the same with the other half of the blade. (It's important that both halves are the same size and equally balanced. I suppose you could cut less, but this method met my needs and helped me get an even balance between the two blades to avoid vibration and excessive to avoid wear and tear.) Reassemble and let it work. Now this is the perfect little jet for my 14g biocube to keep my dead spots at bay. And I have a spare!
