Description of 🐠 AQUANEAT Aquarium Circulation Pump - Small 480 GPH, Fish Tank Powerhead, Saltwater Wave Maker, Submersible Water Pump, Suction Cup (2pcs)

Flow Rate: 480GPH (1850L/H, each), ideal for 60 gallon freshwater tank or 30 gallon saltwater tank. Enhance Filtration: 360Β° rotation flow directions make it easy to stir up debris towards the filter keeping them from settling at the bottom. Increase Circulation: Create water movement for fish to swim in; and agitate the top water to increase the dissolved oxygen for fish, corals or plants to thrive. Dimension: 2.75 x 2 x 2 inches (L x W x H); includes: 2pcs 480 GPH circulation pump (w/suction cups). Note: Must be totally submersed under water and do not use with a timer or controller.

Lucky fish until you fail.

It worked very well, very quiet and I think it's really good value for money, only a few weeks. That's why I waited so long to write my review. I have no problems with the performance of the circulation pump. I can say the fish are just happy, they seem to love swimming against the current coming from the pump. At the beginning I am very happy about it. But yesterday one of the pumps just stopped working, it didn't last long. I tried moving the power to the other outlet but it just didn't…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Almost never

2 rating, it got worse!

I gave it one star in my initial review because both pumps stopped working properly after just a week. For a while they blew strongly, and then they worked very weakly, with almost no current. Unfortunately I left one in my dojo aquarium. I have 3 dojos ranging in length from 10 to 12 inches. They love to play with the electricity (when it's running). Sometimes they jump out of the water. Yesterday I heard a crazy splash and when I checked all 3 dojo loaches went crazy and jumped out of the…

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

NOISY. Very, very loud and vibrant. Powerhead at 11 volume.

I appreciate they made cheap cartridges BUT they are very noisy. Too loud. Too much vibration. I think quality and balance can not be reached in this price range. Although the noise does not allow us to enjoy the aquarium, it is almost certainly harmful to our fish as well. I think running them 24/7 would be like letting my fish live at the Slayer festival. Our most metallic black clownfish is dead against this plan when it gets a water jet, but some other fish and coral don't seem to like the…

Great for Biocube 14 with a little modification.

Many reviews mention that the flow is too high for a smaller tank, but there are very few other options for lower GPH nozzles. I decided to give it a try just in case to customize the jet to my needs. I'm glad I did. The pump housing separates by briefly turning the two halves clockwise. After opening it I removed the impeller which was plastic. I took my big toenail clippers, ran them all the way down (about halfway down the blade) and secured them! I did the same with the other half of the…
