I appreciate they made cheap cartridges BUT they are very noisy. Too loud. Too much vibration. I think quality and balance can not be reached in this price range. Although the noise does not allow us to enjoy the aquarium, it is almost certainly harmful to our fish as well. I think running them 24/7 would be like letting my fish live at the Slayer festival. Our most metallic black clownfish is dead against this plan when it gets a water jet, but some other fish and coral don't seem to like the powerful equivalent of Reign in Blood bumped up to 11 as much. Given how cheap they are, I'm considering playing around with them some more in the hopes that if I improve the balance. I was trying to play around with the propeller blades because they were clearly "off" so I'm now 3D printing a few different designs to try and get the right smooth flow.
