My comments are limited to using stones to sharpen hand scissors. Normally it would be a little awkward to sharpen a curved blade to mid-length on a pair of pruning shears with a regular sized whetstone. But those thin, postcard-sized stones made the job pretty easy. They were easy to hold and fit into tight spaces. They also appear to be a high quality stone that sharpens the blade surprisingly quickly. The packaging and form factor are well thought out; Having three soft leather holders has turned out to be a lot more useful than I expected - these rocks don't get thrown into a box in the garage and get lost. Once you get beyond the type of stone material, people will start to think of sharpening stones as interchangeable items, but this innovative product is clearly superior to other stones I've reviewed. I thought it was a well thought out and well made set of stones and at least as far as sharpening odd shaped blades like those of a garden shears am very glad I spent the extra money on this one.
