This cage is very spacious and my hamster loves it! He originally had a small CritterTrail cage which my hamster Teddy felt very cramped and cramped in and was initially very skeptical about his new cage but once he got to know her enough he eventually fell in love with her. We placed him there for 10-15 minutes at a time (about 2-3 times a night) until he felt comfortable staying/sleeping there longer. It took about 4 days for him to feel well. It was very easy to assemble it. They put the pieces together easily and the instructions were very clear. No tools required! It took me about 10-15 minutes to put it together and then I just added food in the bowl and litter in the bottom shelf. Only the wheel is too small for my hamster teddy bear, so I exchanged it. one with an old wheel my dwarf hamster had and he loves it but it squeaks a lot. Plus, this cage is like a mansion and I'm sure your hamster will love it! This is a solid purchase that's worth every penny.
