Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Borosilicate Glass Printer with 235X235X3 7mm Printing Dimensions by Abdirahman Elmer

Excellent stand for Ender 3 Pro

Glass substrates are generally great upgrades for 3D printers as they heat evenly and can withstand many (like this) high temperatures without warping and because they are very flat. With the Ender series, which are somewhat notorious for their small indentations in the middle of their surface, the latter is important. However, glass can be a little tricky to work with. However, this material is quite simple. So far it appears to be holding up well to high temperatures - no problems with expansion or warping so far - and the surface finishes well. What I do: I take a jar of Aquanet hairspray (unscented). I spray gently onto the glass - I mean really saturate it, then wipe off the excess. You can also let it air dry, but this will take an hour or more). When it has dried, apply a second coat and then bake again. Of course, if you do, you'll have a few months or more before you clean, depending on how much you type. I also recommend you buy at least two of these as you will have to wait for the jar to cool to room temperature. before trying to poke prints. If you have a second hand you can obviously switch between them and keep typing. I have found this material to be quite forgiving - I removed the PLA prints after about 5-10 minutes when the glass was still slightly warm with no issues or side effects - but YMMV. I mainly print PLA and PETG but have also done some ABS, the above works great for everyone. Really great upgrade for your Ender or any 235-235 printer. I use an Ender 3 Pro and recommend removing the sticky magnetic backing that comes preinstalled for use with a standard magnetic mat. That means the latter won't get magnetized, of course, but you can buy replacements and they still won't work above 70C, so aren't good for anything other than PLA.
