Great little invention, works great! But beware: on my new 2019 Subaru Outback (don't know how many brands?) the mini safety technology has changed and been redesigned. When I pulled the mini fuse out of the fuse box, it changed to a new design. The adapter works great and saves you from cutting into your car's wiring harness! The "surprise" was the mini fuse change. There is now a firm pad between the grommets and the fusible link is now between the grommets. Looks like the goal was to "shrink" the molding to make the fuse even smaller. A NEW CLASS of fuses is coming your way (mini-fuse 2 or something like that?). I didn't want to use the blue 15 amp fuse that came with the adapter so I went to the dealership to get a 5 amp fuse. The 7.5 amp fuse I pulled did not match the adapter. The adapter sockets work great and plug directly into the car's fuse box. I hardwired my radar detector and Garmin GPS (didn't want to use the cigarette lighter). Again, this is a great and easy way to turn off your MINI FUSE BLOCK without damaging your car's wiring. Suppose pre-2019 cars didn't replace the mini fuse boxes with new fuses?
