First of all I would like to say that this product is excellent and does what it is supposed to do. Plus, you don't need to rinse off this product if you use it properly. I didn't know they needed instructions for everything. I started by taking the substrate into my drying tank and adding a thin layer in the front and a thicker layer in the back and then filling in the front with sand as I should because that is the soil for the plants. I then took my groundcover seeds and added them after placing the rocks and wood in the aquarium. Then I sprayed the aquarium with water so that all the small particles settled on the bottom. After I cover the tank, turn on the light and let the tank grow some ground cover and then add water and guess what didn't need to be flushed and my tank didn't get cloudy because I was careful not to mix the substrate. . This is the correct way to use this product. Don't leave a bad review for not bothering to do your research before you buy.
