Since then, I've researched and found that almost no manufacturer coats children's clothing with flame retardants because the one they use has been classified as carcinogenic. Then safer options are fibers that are inherently flame retardant (e.g. polyester) or close-fitting cotton. The snug fit of cotton prevents the oxygen from the fire from getting between the fabric and the skin. They are well made and very soft. The colors are bright and fit well into the average boy's wardrobe. This manufacturer actually obeys the law - unlike most!
