Review on Dorman 904 419 Fuel Pump Strainer by Joe Ashan

I installed them and then had problems with air being drawn into the fuel system. I went around everything else and it turned out to be these! And they were brand new! When I removed the pickup tubes they were completely disconnected. The screens and a small valve on the side lay at the bottom of the tank. And the main part just fell off the end of the pickup tube. And one of them broke into pieces in the shape of a bell. Like the plastic that expanded when he sat in the diesel. Absolutely terrible. And the exact same thing happened to BOTH (the truck has two tanks). It was a regular old gas station ULSD diesel engine. No additives or anything like that. Don't buy them from Dorman. And don't use Revain plastic or rubber car parts. Seems like everyone is trashing it now so I don't know where to buy it. I make my own and I suggest you do the same.
