How can such a simple product be so bad!

I had to put a new supply in the tank and buy a new strainer. Bought this beauty. Started cutting at 1/4 tank - shortly after installation and thought I might have to bend the float arm a bit. I dropped the tank again and pulled the block out to "bend the float" but saw debris in the tank. Mesh and cork fell out. Garbage.

Valve and strainer do not stay in place

Like the other reviewer, I broke the valve and strainer in the tank. If you fill up about 1/4 tank or less you will start sucking air and your truck will jerk, idle with sudden surges of electricity etc. Computer controlled trucks are good at masking the small amount of air in the fuel. but there is a limit. Mine was less than 8 months in the tank. Fuel in tank is less than 6. Removed, replaced by Hutch Mod.

out of service immediately - fuel pumps and accessories

I lost the cross after replacing the screens in both tanks on my truck. The resulting rotational force hit the fuel tank and ruptured it. When changing the tank, not only did the fuel screen roll around in the tank, but the screen also fell out with the bypass valve. This is unlikely to be due to a gimbal hitting the tank, so I inspected the second tank. As in the case of the first tank, the strainer was removed from the assembly and the bypass valve collapsed. The second tank was NOT damaged…

TERRIBLE! Disintegrated in just a few weeks! Both!

I installed them and then had problems with air being drawn into the fuel system. I went around everything else and it turned out to be these! And they were brand new! When I removed the pickup tubes they were completely disconnected. The screens and a small valve on the side lay at the bottom of the tank. And the main part just fell off the end of the pickup tube. And one of them broke into pieces in the shape of a bell. Like the plastic that expanded when he sat in the diesel. Absolutely…
