Battery life really not long enough. All in all a very good product, but if you're dusting and building stairs you'll need to plan not to do it all at once as the battery can't last long enough to do it all at once. Most of my electronics come with two batteries. I have no idea why it doesn't work. This is very convenient, so you may need two vacuum cleaners: one above, one below. Or just change your habits and learn how to vacuum half the house one day and half the house the next. If you don't, you'll end up racing and doing unfinished work just to keep from going out. After about a month I give it a one star rating because the carpet nozzle doesn't have stiff bristles. Who has heard of it? I was wondering why I can't see the pattern on the carpet like you can with a corded vacuum with a hard bristled rotating brush. Apparently a real brush uses too much energy combing the carpet. The lack of a stiff long brush leaves a superficially cleaned carpet at best, and carpet that only gets dirtier and dirtier as more dirt falls within reach of the Dyson brush.
