This digitizer has no internal memory. The box is very small and does not take up much space. We record our favorite shows on the local TV network and watch them whenever it's convenient. Almost like a DVR. This box only picks up broadcasts from the antenna, it doesn't pick up from other sources. When recording a show, the box does not indicate which show was recorded, so make sure you set the correct time and date and after recording, go to the recorded show section. and you can bookmark shows for future reference. On top of that, the remote control is also a bit fiddly, it has to be pointed straight at the box or it won't get any signal to do what you're trying to do. We were reluctant to ditch satellite TV (because of the DVR) but this device made it possible.
