Review on Simpatico Satin Nickel 31661SN Moen Shower Chateau Series Trim Kit: Stylish Design with Durable Brass Escutcheon Screws, Tube, and Handle by Mark Morrow

Having no choice for a brushed nickel pick guard (plate), I bought this one. Here's what I have.1. In my hands, the Escutcheon's nickel finish looks cheap, really cheap. Blunt, not "matt".2. Unfortunately, the tube that slides over the Moen valve body is too small in diameter at 1/16" and since it is solid wall tube (unlike the Moen tube which has a slit in the bottom) the Setting not possible available. .3. When I try to use my original Moen hose, which fits snugly in the valve body, the hole in the trim plate is also 1/16" too small and won't fit over it, so I can't use my old hose. So, Return time. I really wanted this to work as there aren't any other nickel finish options. Keep in mind it might not work for you either so don't throw away your old stuff. ;)
