The best thing about this software is that it shows you how much building material will cost in real time so there are no surprises later down the track when your builder says he needs more money or less! It's not great for people who have built before because of all the different options available which makes things difficult at times but I think if they added some sort of 'easy' button then it would be easier. Try out as many features as possible until you get one that works well enough for your requirements. We were using another app called Siteplanner Pro (also by Builders Edge) however we found canibaBuild was far superior in almost every way - better price, ease-of use etc.
