Review on JBL E55BT Black Over-Ear Wireless Headphones by Haggis Bryant

Terrible customer service and JBL does not honor their warranty

DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN THE USA! I bought this a little over a month ago and am having more and more problems with these c.1. First they didn't connect to 2 devices. Every time they connected to one, they disconnected from the first.2. After a week they finally connected to 2 devices (smartphone and iMac) but when connected to imac there was stuttering and audio lag. Disconnecting the first device didn't fix the audio issue, but removing the device from the Bluetooth options and pairing it back to the iMac (until it's disconnected and reconnected)3 did. A week later, the headphones would randomly disconnect from all devices during use, and would also sometimes not connect to devices when powered on.4. It was around this time that I noticed that I was getting tinny metallic noises from voices (male or female) even at very low volume levels. I didn't notice it with music, but movies or videos are almost impossible to watch. I contacted Harman support and after it took them 3 weeks to respond and actually give me an answer and the reason why they are not honoring my warranty, I was told they are NOT honoring their warranty because I am currently abroad. So if you are an international customer or live/travel a lot these JBL headphones and products will not work for you. If you need to contact them for a repair, their terrible customer service will tug at you with no clear answers and then leave you in the dark with broken headphones. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: These are fantastic headphones, way better than my last pair of PLANTRONICS SENSE 500 O headphones (which never stayed connected). The sounds on the JBL are amazing, they fit my large head perfectly and stay securely connected during my tube rides and hikes. My only issue is that they don't have a dedicated next/previous track button and the headphone audio jack is a 2.5-3.5mm cable. The volume button works well, but not great when trying to skip a few songs. It would be better if they had a dedicated next/last track button. Also, in my experience with cables, they tend to break and need to be replaced at random. So a slightly more specialized core means it's harder to replace. Aside from those two minor design issues with the JBL E55, it works great, sounds fantastic, fits my large head perfectly, and connects to my devices very securely. . Definitely my favorite Bluetooth headphones.
