Bayonet locks do not turn. This makes it almost impossible to install on existing pipelines. I bought this to replace an old one that broke due to a minor alignment accident with our RV. The old Valterra adapter not only had 4 eyelets (as opposed to Camco's 2), but also bayonet locks. on the old one would rotate to lock or unlock it from the drain hole on the RV where the camco bayonet lug retaining ring does not rotate at all. Thus, the end of the pipe thread of the adapter is screwed into the old pipe in one direction, while the locking tabs of the bayonet must be turned in the opposite direction for installation. Useless to me. I finally spent my extra $2 on Valterra bayonets again.
