This is exactly what you need if you are looking to connect your RV drain line to a PVC pipe. For longer or persistent dump connections, this is the way to go. No more fumbling with flexible hoses. I'm taking off a star because it's a little less reliable than I would have liked. It works great but don't stress it or it will most likely break. Bought a second one as a spare. It would be great if it was made of thicker plastic or shatterproof material.

This item does what it promises: turns a black water pipe into a threaded pipe if you want to hard-wire your RV's sewage system but can't get the connector right a watertight seal, which is very important when dealing with sewage. I was able to fix this by adding another rubber washer that I took from another clutch lying around to make the connection tighter. So be careful when using this type, you may need a different seal if you don't want waste water coming out of the port.

What I wanted to tell people about this product is that it's very thin plastic and I used it along with a 40ppc plan when I installed it, so as soon as I started To assemble it, the glued part broke and I had to assemble and glue it together, they found exactly the same thing in my local camper world too and it was done much better. I wish I bought it there but it's stuck and works fine. So I just wanted people to know that if they want something heavier they need to find another product.

The design of this item is exactly what we wanted our cistern to be semi-permanently connected to a septic tank in a fixed RV site. However, the fit is not tight. The swivel fittings line up and "seem" to mate, but as soon as the tank is pulled out to drain, there's a drop - it's not airtight. So we have drippers and unnecessary extra smell to contend with. Bayonet locks do not turn. This makes it almost impossible to install on existing pipelines. I bought this to replace an old one that broke due to a minor alignment accident with our RV. The old Valterra adapter not only had 4 eyelets (as opposed to Camco's 2), but also bayonet locks. on the old one would rotate to lock or unlock it from the drain hole on the RV where the camco bayonet lug retaining ring does not rotate at all. This is one of those things that you get what you pay for. Definitely not the quality of any Camco product I've ever used.
