Mounting Tip Another reviewer suggested and taped the end of my existing grips to keep them from curling up if you try Squeeze them over them. My existing handles have a raised ridge on the ends, making the task harder. .I also soaked them in a glass of soapy water so they had enough lubrication during the installation process which took me 5 minutes per side. In terms of comfort after installation it's better than just my old grips which felt like metal but it's just foam so haven't been on a long trip to see how big the difference is. It's just foam, about 40mm. Me too. I'm considering silicone grips - ESI Extra Chunkies or Wolf Tooth's Mega Paws, they're also about 40mm, but you can't put them on existing grips. Update - I rode an hour, I ride a sport bike so you're basically leaning on your arms the whole time, there was definitely less pain with them, there's still some numbness, but the improvement is worth it.
