Review on Bucilla Candy Express Christmas Stocking Felt Applique Kit, 18-Inch (86147): Enhance Your Holiday Decor by Denise Davis

I've never made needles before so I didn't know what to expect. My grandmother made bucilla stockings for my whole family for many years, but she lost her sight before my first child was born. So I decided that I should continue their tradition. I'm almost done with the stocking and will be having it made for my son's second Christmas. It's pretty easy once you get started, although it will be difficult at first. I highly recommend watching videos on U-Tube if you're not sure how to stitch. Even if you're new to needlework, you'll save a lot of time looking for easy tricks to tie a protector! The kit contains a good detailed instructions; However, if you are less familiar with this type of project, it can be confusing at first. At least that's how it was for me, but once I started it all started to make sense. As with other reviewers, the needles in the kit were not color coded as stated in the instructions. The smallest needle is designed for bead work. I also ran out of red glitter but was able to get some from another set I bought at my local craft store last year (the train is so cute and I thought I'd spend all my time and energy making a stocking close). I should buy the best I could find)! The rest of the supplies were sufficient. I didn't like the included font so I found one I liked in MS Word, and handwritten my son's name on tracing paper and it worked really well. Overall I am very impressed with the quality of the stockings. I know it will last for years
