This was really easy to install on my 2017 Silverado 3500. At first I was concerned because the emblem was uneven rather than smooth. This led me to believe that the case would not have a good surface to stick to. It seems to have worked really well though, it's only been about a month since I've put it on so it hasn't changed all that much but I haven't noticed any cracks or blemishes yet. I think even if it only lasts a year before it's either dropped or damaged, it's still a lot cheaper to replace than buying metal replacement flies from the start. For $8 and 15 minutes a year, it's a lot better than $100 to tie both flies differently. It will be 10 years before it makes economic sense to choose another path if it only takes a year. I will definitely put them on my other Chevy cars.
