If you have a Hunter model 51059 fan, it will be a perfect fit. I installed mine with no problems. FYI if you are replacing the original light you may have trouble finding the correct connector and decide that this kit is defective. If your current kit has bulbs with a tiny base around the perimeter, you will need a section that the lighting kit attaches to. It is held by 3 screws and lowered to reveal the internal wires. Your old flashlight (again, this only applies if you have narrow-based lamps) has a ground wire that connects to a plug inside the fan. This ground wire only fits in one plug, and if it's the same as mine, it's also white. Follow this wire. You'll notice that it goes into the voltage regulator (mine is pink plastic). The cable to the controller is blue and connected. Disconnect this blue wire and connect it to the black wire on this kit. The rest is according to instructions. In fact, the instructions in the kit say to connect the kit's black wire to your fan's black or blue wire. It happens very easily, and once you look into it, it all makes sense.
